Testimonials From New Parents and Newly Postpartum Just Like YOU ...

Hear What They Have To Say

As a power lifter, I can't overstate the importance of pelvic floor health and function. It impacts both my training routine and my everyday functioning. I know women who have had to stop working out or at least heavily modify their routines due to unresolved pelvic floor issues. When I was planning a return to lifting after my second pregnancy, I knew that I needed to have any core/pelvic floor issues diagnosed and work through them with an expert so that I could keep doing what I love to do. I'm so glad I found Zazu--she made me feel comfortable and safe every step of the way, explained everything clearly, and provided an easy to follow regimen of exercises to help me meet my goals.

I’m so glad I decided to take the leap and have my pelvic floor issues checked out. Zazu not only provides such a safe and comfortable environment but no topic or concern is too taboo or shameful to discuss. Her knowledge is unparalleled and she has a way of explaining all the mechanics so that anyone could understand. Zazu’s compassion and dedication is part of what makes her a fantastic physical therapist. She’s just as concerned about your mental health as well as your physical health and emits such calming energy and light.

Zazu is great! Professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with! I worked with her postpartum and she made me feel very comfortable. She truly cared about my progress every step of the way, trying various ways to help me reach my goals. She celebrated my physical therapy accomplishments right by my side, and I'm so grateful to have her as a resource!

After having kids my pelvic floor was super weak - I just kind of accepted that some of the exercises I'd loved were going to be off limits since any kind of jumping made me feel like I was going to pee (TMI, I know). It sounds silly, but as someone who values exercise not just for the physical benefits but for the mental part of it, it's changed my life in re-gaining the confidence to know I can now do whatever exercises I want without any limitations. I'm really grateful she came into my life, and would recommend her services to any other mom who feels hopeless about their pelvic floor post-baby.

When I developed a pelvic floor issue recently I knew that Zazu was the person to see, without a doubt. But what surprised me is that she was able to resolve my issue with just one session!! She was able to explain what was happening and offer a simple set of exercises for me to practice daily. Within two weeks my issue resolved! I couldn’t be happier. Zazu is not your typical PT. She has a gift. She is smart, skilled, highly trained. She’s a quick thinker and excellent communicator. She is an absolute gem and hands down THE person to see for Pelvic PT.

Beyond happy with services provided - Zazu is amazing! After working with Zazu for several months my floor was in a great place - no leaks, no pain, no pressure! I was as ready as I would ever be for labor! 5 stars are not enough for the services, education, and experience Zazu provides.

Dr. Zazu Cioce, DPT

Dr. Zazu Cioce is a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in Pelvic Health Disorders and rehabbing the postpartum body back to being able to perform the demands of daily life without leaking, pelvic pain or pelvic organ prolapse. Dr. Zazu has been working with new parents for almost a decade and her work has spanned from the hospital setting working with moms during all phases of their lives, and specifically in her own private practice around the prenatal and postpartum challenges that our bodies must recover from. Being the Physical Therapist of the Year in 2017 for her contributions to the profession, Dr. Zazu is always finding ways to help more new parents adjust to the transition of parenthood and prepare them for their rehab process while combining the best of our current research about how our body’s heal and tailoring each individual’s experience to align with their unique goals. While Dr. Zazu sees her private clients one-on-one, her passion for helping as many people struggling with these issues, while also seeing a lack of community support around these sometimes taboo topics, drove her to create the New Parent Support Group. “This is how we start leveling up our care for our mothers and birthing people, this is how we get people the guidance and support they need in a life-altering moment in time.” - Dr. Zazu Cioce DPT
